The Coffee:

This coffee was a top 20 finisher for the Cup of Excellence in 2022. Notes of caramel, tropical fruits, & cocoa are prominent. Complex sugars are evident on the aromatics and finishing cup, as well as citric acidity giving hints of raspberry. Nice dark chocolate tendencies with accenting tropical fruit flavors on the cooling cup.Producing coffee has been a family tradition since his great grandfather started farming in the 1940s El Guatalón farm is located in Santa Rosa de Lima, Santa Rosa. About 29 miles South East from Guatemala City. For Guillermo Juarez and his son, producing coffee has been a family tradition since his great grandfather started in the 1940s. Every year, they aim to improve the quality of their coffee, to satisfy their long term customers and in seeking new ones to share what they love. “To be surrounded by mountains, you have to be passionate about it” is how Guillermo describes one of the many things he loves about this industry.
