The coffee:
Coffees from Panama can auction anywhere from hundreds, to even thousands of dollars per pound. Creating a reputation for your farm can be quite challenging when you are a small producer in a sea full of amazing coffees. The Savage Family in Chiriqui has sent shockwaves throughout the coffee industry & world - winning first, second & third place in the World Barista Championship in 2024 - the first feat of its kind.Â
This washed process Caturra doesn't quite make the auction house at these levels but we thought it was especially worth explaining the notoriety & expertise found when working with this extraordinary coffee producing family. The Savages are three generations of specialty farmers in Panama & Reprise is grateful in becoming friends with them through coffee competitions and overall coffee nerd-dom.
The roaster:
Reprise is composed of a farmer, roaster & barista trio & is uniquely positioned to engage an impactful purchasing model that consequentially includes friends & even family members.
Kati Paiz & Adam Paronto are a husband & wife team that operate a modern cafe in the Chicagoland Area with a commitment to providing the highest quality specialty coffee to the community & strive to be an anchor in the coffee education sector. Whether it be agricultural excellence or the World's Best Coffee - Reprise is roasting for a balanced and palatable world.
